Mrs. Robin Ballarin
We have about three weeks left in this school year and want ALL students to end the year with the very best grades they can. Tutorials remain available. If you have any questions or concerns about your student, please continue to talk with their teacher(s) first--this is the best line of communication. Please remember student grades and attendance is available online in the parent and student portal in Infinite Campus. If you have any problem with the portal, you may call West Hills at 956-0400 during normal business hours, 7:00-3:30 p.m. or our District Technology Help line 619-956-4357.

Monday, May 27 we have no school. Thank you to all our military service members and their families, active, reserve and  retired, who have served our country. We so appreciate you and your service!

Image result for Physicals

Please help us get the word out to all current and incoming students--they MUST complete the Athletics Clearance process for participating in athletics and Co-Curricular activities (Athletes, Cheer, Marching Band, Color Guard, Drum Line, etc). This is a great opportunity at a low cost physical that meets this requirement for students. They may also go to their private doctor or other health clinic to complete this process. Registration closes May 24 or when filled. Thank you!

GRADES / CREDITS / SUMMER SCHOOL: Please review GRADES online in our Parent Portal. There is still time for students and parents to talk with teaches and improve grades if needed.  Any student with an "F" at the semester's end or on their transcript does need to re-take the course for credit. A student needs 220 credits to graduate. These credit requirements are on our website under "Counseling". Summer School will be offered
June 10-June 29, 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. daily.  Students have already been enrolled in summer school and know through their Counselor what course they are enrolled in. Please look in your email and Infinite Campus portal for more information in the next few weeks as we send out reminders and messages. Any student who is a current Senior (needing only one course to graduate), or a junior going into Senior year have priority in summer school due to limited space. Current Sophomores and Freshman have been scheduled as well as space allows.  Please do not plan to have your student miss any of the 15 days of summer school. There are so few days--each summer school day is equal to one week of a traditional semester.

FRIENDLY REMINDER FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE
Does your student have medicine or supplies in the Health Office? Please remember to pick up your student's unused medication by the last day of school (to avoid them being discarded.) Any unused supplies should also be taken home over the summer. When we start school in the fall, new completed 2019-2020 Authorization For Medication Administration forms will need to be turned in with ANY medication which includes over the counter products. The medication forms can be printed from our website under "INFO", then "Health Office" or stop by the Health Office and pick one up. Students are not permitted to carry any medication with them except in certain instances and ONLY with a Doctor's Order (this includes any over the counter products such as Tylenol.) New supplies (i.e. diabetic kits) should also be brought back in the fall beginning August 9 when the nurse returns, with any necessary paperwork (diabetic orders, Epi-Pen Orders, etc.) Have a safe and happy summer!
